January 26, 2025, is the eve of the Lunar New Year in the Chinese calendar... The children's special is divided into five chapters: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The first chapter, "Metal," features the golden snake dancing, symbolizing auspiciousness and springtime. It will lead us through the joy of the festival. Artmind Dance's lively opening lion dance, "The Amazing Lion," and 520 Dancing Academy's opening dance, "Joyfully Welcoming the New Year," paint a picture of festive celebration! The Richmond Hill Children's Chorus, composed of children from the North York area of Toronto, will present a heartfelt chorus, "China in the Lights," expressing their love for Chinese culture.

The Chapter of Wood: Blooming flowers and trees fill the garden with spring colors. Wood is a symbol of growth and the continuation of life. We will feel the vibrant vitality and vigorous power of spring. The instrumental ensemble "Golden Snake Dance & Ascending Spring Mountain," performed by the China Conservatory of Music, plays out the vitality and rhythm of life. Ancient legends are integrated into elegant dance moves in the duet "Green Snake & White Snake," performed by Jocelyn Xue and Carina He. Let us immerse ourselves in the world of mythology and feel the deep affection and beauty of the dancing serpents! Yangyang Dance Studio presents a poetic dance of the Summer Palace in spring rain, "Spring Rain at the Summer Palace," expressing the sentiment of spring rain as silk, nourishing all things. Superior Child International Academy presents "Daylily," a song, dance, and violin performance that intertwines music and dance to tell of the resilience and hope of life. W·E Dance Studio presents "Feathered Elves," where the spring breeze transforms into feathers, dancing out of a dreamlike realm.

The Water Chapter: The Elegant Charm of Rippling Water Water is the source of life, nourishing all things, gentle yet strong, both still and dynamic. The third chapter: with "water" as the theme, we embark on a cultural journey of elegant charm.

Canada Mei Dance Studio presents two lotus-themed dances, "Little Lotus Tips" and "Beautiful Colors." "Little Lotus Tips" captures the delicate beauty of newly blossoming lotuses in the water, a fresh and graceful image reminiscent of the hope and purity of early life. "Beautiful Colors" depicts a summer night with lotuses blooming and moonlight rippling on the water. The graceful dance movements showcase the water's clarity and gentleness.

Water is clouds, water is rainbows, water is the source of inspiration and joy. The young singers of Mk Singing School will bring us the hope of rainbows and the joy of happiness through their songs.

Water represents the inheritance of culture: water is like a mirror, reflecting the beauty of nature; water is like poetry, telling endless stories. Artmind Dance's performance of the classical dance "A River of Clear Water" takes us to appreciate the graceful charm of the water sleeves in traditional Chinese opera.

"Guan Guan cry the ospreys, on the islet in the river. There is a beautiful woman, on the other side of the water." Dancers from DancEnlight Arts Centre will take us into the picturesque waterside scenery described in the Book of Songs.

The Chapter of Fire: The Flame of Peace, a Flourishing Variety of Flames. Fire symbolizes passion and the power of peace, transcending cultural boundaries and connecting people. The fourth chapter, themed around "fire," showcases the charm and harmony of multiculturalism.

The young people of My Love Youth Choir performed "Imagine. Youth," singing a melody of peace and hope for us.

The dreams of young people burn brightly like flames, igniting passion and setting the stage for the future. Superior Child International Academy presents the sports show "Burning Dreams of Youth," celebrating the vitality of youth!

Ballet is a beautiful rose in a multicultural world.

Angelina Ballet Studio presents two ballet performances: "The Happy Polka," a children's ballet full of childlike fun and energy.

"Wouldn't It Be Lovely" is inspired by the classic musical "My Fair Lady". The young dancers use their elegant dance moves to show their longing for a beautiful life and their childlike fantasies.

The passion of fire isn't just traditional; it can also be modern and stylish. EDu Dance Studio's contemporary dance "Kpop" ignites the entire venue with dynamic dance moves!

Coco Zhou performed the globally popular song "APT." and danced with EDu Dance Studio, showcasing a collision of passion and art!

Chapter Five: The Land - Deep Affection for Our Homeland, One Family Under Heaven: Let us return together to that familiar homeland and feel that profound love for our homeland. This is not only a cultural exchange, but also a gathering of hearts.

The dance "Auspiciousness" performed by 520 Dancing Academy sends New Year's blessings to everyone, wishing everyone a happy family reunion and all the best!

Water is Mother Earth's milk, nourishing all things; flowing endlessly, it brings life. The Miao dance "Water Girl," performed by young dancers from DancEnlight Arts Centre, showcases the Miao people's reverence, love, and praise for water, which symbolizes life and hope. Through exquisite movements, the dancers perfectly blend the fluidity of water with the traditional charm of the Miao people.

The children's special performance of "Spring in Canada" came to a close with the music of "One World, One Family".
